The Highway Home

Week 4 In Whose Heart? Series

Everything in life is moving somewhere.

Every decision.Every season.Every step.

The real question is: Where is it leading?

Psalm 84 says:“They go from strength to strength… until each appears before God in Zion.”

That’s the destination.

Not just survival. Not just success.

Home.

Home has been a significant conviction in my ministry with my husband. In fact, it was the first signage anyone saw when walking into our church. A literal sign that says, "Welcome Home."

I believe the world has a strong desire to experience Home as well. In the timeless tale "The Wizard of Oz" - Dorothy spends the entire movie trying to make her way back home.

The Iconic song "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" - Way up high, There's a land that I heard of Once in a lullaby, Home.

Displacement has become a huge reality today.

Thank God, we are not living in the fairtale land of Oz.

Jesus Made the Way

He made our way home.

We don’t have to build the road ourselves.

Jesus already did.

Hebrews 12 says:“For the joy set before Him, He endured the cross.”

What was that joy?

You.

A clear path.A finished way.A highway back to God.

He didn’t just talk about the way—He became it.

You’re Going Somewhere

Even if life feels slow…Even if it feels unclear…

You are not wandering aimlessly.

There is a direction.There is a destination.There is a purpose unfolding.

God may not give you the timeline—but He never loses sight of the outcome.

Your Life Leaves a Trail

This part matters.

Your life doesn’t just impact you.It leaves a trail behind you.

The way you live…The way you trust…The way you respond in hard seasons…

It shows others what’s possible.

Psalm 84 talks about people who pass through valleys and turn them into springs.

Meaning:Because they walked through it with God, others benefit from it too.

You Carry the Highway

This is the shift. You’re not just trying to find the way.

You carry it.

“In whose heart are highways to Zion.”

That means:

• Your life can point people to peace

• Your choices can reflect truth

• Your faith can guide others home

  
  

Take Heart

No matter where you are right now—

You are not stuck.You are not forgotten.You are not without direction.

There is a highway within you, every man & women reading this blog. And it’s leading somewhere good. So keep walking. Keep trusting. Keep following Him.

You’re on your way home.
