Prison to Praise

Week One: The Reality of the Prison

Not all prisons have bars.

Some are silent.

Some are internal.

Some are seasons you didn’t choose.

Acts 16 shows Paul and Silas thrown into prison—beaten, chained, and locked away.

They didn’t deserve it.

They didn’t expect it.

But they were in it.

What Does a Prison Look Like  for You Today?

It might not be literal.

It can look like:

* pressure that won’t lift

* waiting that won’t end

* thoughts you can’t escape

* a situation that feels stuck

And the hardest part? Sometimes you did everything right… and still ended up there.

The Danger

If you’re not careful, the prison starts to define you. You start thinking:

“This is just my life now”

“Nothing is going to change”

“This is who I am now”

But that’s not truth!

You Are Not Your Situation

Paul and Silas were in prison—but they were not prisoners in identity. There’s a difference. Your environment may be restricted… but your spirit doesn’t have to be.

Just because you’re in a prison doesn’t mean the prison is in you.

This is a season.

Not your identity.

As someone once said, "The best is yet to come!"
