To Bed She Goes [Colour 2011]

Colour girlsSo it's been a couple of weeks now since Colour ended! For many of you it was a "three day experience” that happened last month or so. Hopefully it was a wonderful experience, hopefully something magnificent and eternal happened in your lovely heart, hopefully you were strengthened and inspired for the season ahead, hopefully your world will never be the same because of what was either watered or ignited.

Well I would have to say last Sunday night was “off the charts”! We have been having a series of Six Hot Sunday nights at church, which are growing in intensity every week. Last Sunday was even more special because we managed to hook up a live link through the web to our first ever Sunday services at Hillsong Cape Town.

Our Hills and City campuses furiously waved to the Cape Town crowd… and they waved back even more furiously than the Aussies! It was incredible at the end of our Hills 7pm service because our congregation ‘eaves dropped’ on Phil Dooley’s salvation altar call. Many in our crowd were crying as it was such a moving and historic moment. After the night I got the following text from Phil…

25 Years On...

Well, here I am…catching up with the 21st century. Welcome to my very first BLOG!

Twenty five years! That’s how long it has been since we started our little church in Baulkham Hills. I can still remember the search for a hall in which we could begin our Sunday night outreach into the Hills District. We called it Hills Christian Life Centre back then.

Last Friday night, Bobbie and I were in Melbourne for the 25th Anniversary of Alun and Joan Davies as pastors of Faith Christian Church in Dandenong www.faithcc.com.au. You cover a lot of distance, meet a lot of people, and face a lot of seasons over 25 years.
