To Bed She Goes [Colour 2011]

Colour girlsSo it's been a couple of weeks now since Colour ended! For many of you it was a "three day experience” that happened last month or so. Hopefully it was a wonderful experience, hopefully something magnificent and eternal happened in your lovely heart, hopefully you were strengthened and inspired for the season ahead, hopefully your world will never be the same because of what was either watered or ignited.

Colour Flood Relief Response

Queensland FloodsHey Gorgeous Girls,

It is only 8 days till the opening night of COLOUR 2011 in Sydney and we are so excited about not only hosting you but hopefully your team and friends. We are bathing the conference in prayer (and crazy preparation) and have great expectation that God will do what only He can do in your personal world and in this growing and maturing SISTERHOOD.

Hey everyone, Well 2011 has well and truly begun & not without some massive challenges in Australia, with the tragic floods. We appreciate the love, concern and support from so many of you around the world. So as a local church (that kinda spreads far and wide) we ended 2010 with Sisterhood UNITED events across our international churches. There was an amazing turnout (7,000+ which is so encouraging) and I thought it would be great to give the girls who are part of our world (and of course, anyone else interested) a little insight from our lovely lead girls.

Holly's Checklist

A couple of years ago, I asked my friend Holly if she would do a little piece to camera about her journey with regards to breast cancer, which we then showed at our Breast Cancer Awareness Week gathering. So amid pink balloons, pink cupcakes, pink lemonade, we had our bubbly friend from Hollywood share a couple of things that she felt were important in her recovery and handling of the challenge.

(The Breast Cancer Challenge)

It's never a good day when you take a phone call from a beloved friend, to hear her normally chirpy voice say, "I've been diagnosed with breast cancer". I will never forget that moment as I retreated into the hotel bathroom (away from the happy chatter of those I was with) to help my friend navigate those first heart-wrenching moments of a diagnosis none of us ever want to hear.
